NO Queer Liberation without Palestinian Liberation
A year ago. "NO Queer Liberation without Palestinian Liberation"
I published this video for the first time on September 12, 2024. This pro-Palestine march was organized by Within Our Lifetime in Manahatta, Lenapehoking (Manhattan, New York City) on Sep. 2, 2024.
For decades, LGBTQ+ people have been marching for Gaza and all of Palestine.
New York City Police Department (NYPD) officers have arrested THOUSANDS of peaceful ANTI-GENOCIDE New Yorkers, including journalists that cover peaceful pro-Palestine protests from October 8, 2023, to September 8, 2025.
"The (Barack) Obama administration has signed a $38 billion military aid pact with Israel in what the State Department boasts is the “single largest pledge of bilateral military assistance in US history.”
The record agreement will provide Israel with $3.8 billion annually over 10 years beginning in 2019.
At a time when the US government supposedly can’t afford to provide poor and working Americans with basic services like universal health care – something Israelis enjoy – it is striking that there is always money available to enable Israel’s ongoing destruction of Palestine."_Rania Khalek. 9/14/2016. Israel bombs Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Iran, Yemen, democrat politicians and republican politicians in the United States of America pay with our tax dollars. How many children, mothers, fathers, journalists, doctors, teachers, nurses did you kill today?
Israel-USA are using starvation as a weapon of war against Indigenous Palestinians in Gaza. That's a war crime!
"Israel’s weapon of mass starvation.
In Gaza, Palestinians are experiencing starvation orchestrated by Israel. This starvation is a tool of insidious killing, used in addition to 24/7 bombing.
Mass starvation is among the oldest weapons of war. Israel is using it as an act of collective punishment."_Sewar Elejla. 12/15/2023. MORE: electronicintifada.net/content/israels-weapon-mass-starvation/42891
"Famine in Gaza: ‘A failure of humanity itself’, says UN chief.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres said the results of the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) analysis were no mystery: “It is a man-made disaster, a moral indictment – and a failure of humanity itself." 8/22/2025. MORE: news.un.org/en/story/2025/08/1165702

I was evacuated to France, where I saw the reason why the world is allowing my people to be slaughtered."_Nour Elassy. 9/2/2025.

The historic rally held in Manahatta, Lenapehoking (Manhattan), reflects a deep-rooted alliance between LGBTQ+ communities and Palestinian liberation activists. Over decades, many within the queer activism landscape have stood in solidarity with Palestinians, viewing their struggle against systemic violence and ethnic cleansing as intrinsically linked to the fight for queer rights and liberation. This interconnection arises from the shared experiences of marginalization, state violence, and oppression faced by both Indigenous Palestinians and LGBTQ+ people. The pro-Palestine march organized by Within Our Lifetime amplifies this intersectional resistance, demonstrating that social justice movements often transcend single causes to embrace broader human rights concerns. US foreign policy plays a critical role in this struggle. The Obama administration's $38 billion military aid pact with Israel, described as the largest bilateral military assistance in US history, underscores the political and financial support enabling ongoing violence in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories. This funding sustains military operations that have repeatedly resulted in the loss of civilian lives, destruction of infrastructure, and severe humanitarian crises. Starvation has been weaponized as part of this warfare, with reports from credible organizations like the United Nations, Amnesty International, and the UN Special Committee labeling these actions as genocidal tactics. Palestinians in Gaza face mass starvation combined with relentless bombardment, highlighting a deliberate strategy of collective punishment. These actions have prompted international outcry, yet progress remains slow, with political complexities hindering effective intervention. The stark contrast between the levels of healthcare and public services in Israel and the deprivation faced by Palestinians adds another layer of injustice. While Israeli citizens benefit from robust healthcare systems and social support, many Palestinians suffer from shortages of food, medical supplies, and basic necessities due to blockades and military aggression. Journalists covering these events face extraordinary risks, with at least 278 media workers reportedly killed since October 2023. This alarming statistic reflects ongoing efforts to suppress information and silence voices documenting the conflict, drawing condemnation from global media organizations and human rights defenders. Understanding these intertwined struggles invites reflection on global solidarity and the role of activists in challenging systemic inequalities. The phrase 'No Queer Liberation without Palestinian Liberation' encapsulates this ethos, urging communities to recognize interconnected oppressions and build unified movements toward justice and equity.
