Summer Kababs
4 different types of kabobs, all able to be cooked on the grill this summer. Before you assemble your kabobs make sure they've soaked in water for a few hours. If you dont they will burn up in the grill. The first is a pretty refreshing coconut lime shrimp. Let your shrimp marinate in coconut flakes and lime juice for a few hours and skew them on your sticks. Shrimp cooks fast so these should be done in like 5 to 7 min on the grill. Next are the savory steak and onion kabobs. Do a rough chop on your beef and onions, season with salt, and alternate them on your kabob stick. Simple as that 👌🏾. Next A simple garlic shrimp. Toss some peeled shrimp on your sticks and sprinkle salt and garlic powder to flavor them up. Lastly juicy pork an pineapple kabobs with tri colored poppers. Chop and marinate your pork a few hours before assembling, and then alternate your pork, pineapple, and peppers. Grill untill your pineapple is fully cooked but not too long that it dries out.

Grilling kababs during the summer is one of my favorite ways to enjoy delicious and easy meals outdoors, and these four recipes truly bring variety and flavor to the table. One crucial tip I've learned is soaking wooden skewers in water for at least a few hours before grilling to prevent them from burning — a simple step that makes a big difference. The Coconut Lime Shrimp kababs bring a refreshing tropical twist. Letting the shrimp marinate in coconut flakes and lime juice enhances their natural sweetness while giving a tangy brightness. Because shrimp cooks quickly, about 5 to 7 minutes on the grill is plenty to achieve a tender, juicy finish. I like to turn them halfway through to get just the right char without overcooking. The steak and onion kabobs are the perfect savory option. I prefer using white onions as they add a mild sweetness that balances the beef nicely. Seasoning simply with salt keeps it down-to-earth and lets the quality of the meat stand out. Cutting the beef and onion into uniform chunks is something I pay attention to so everything cooks evenly. For those who love garlic, the garlic shrimp kababs are a quick and flavorsome choice. Tossing peeled shrimp with salt and garlic powder gives a fragrant aroma on the grill. These also cook fast, making them ideal when you want a speedy meal but don't want to compromise on taste. Finally, the pork and pineapple kababs with tri-colored bell peppers (red, orange, and green) provide a vibrant and juicy bite. Marinating the pork beforehand is essential; I usually use a simple mix of soy sauce, garlic, and a touch of honey for sweetness. Grilling until the pineapple is tender but still juicy prevents dryness and adds a wonderful caramelized flavor. Overall, these kababs prove that grilling on sticks can offer both simplicity and culinary creativity. Experimenting with different marinades and fresh summer ingredients will elevate your summer cookouts to a whole new level. Don't forget to serve with your favorite sides or dips to make the meal complete!
