July 21 ; Day 21 🥰🌸

*lol at Solomon 2x for Verse 9 and 19. *

Proverbs 21: 2 “ All a persons ways seems right to him, but the Lord weighs hearts.” OOPP😖

💭🤔 How does God weigh our heart? HE knows our thoughts and intentions.

✨ We aren’t aware of why we do some of the things we do and sometimes we can trick ourselves into thinking that our way is Gods way and it’s NOT! The Lord can see right through that!

... Read moreContinuing my journey through the Book of Proverbs, I've found so much wisdom packed into each chapter. Sometimes we wonder, 'why was Proverbs written in the Bible?' For me, it's a foundational guide for daily living, a collection of divine wisdom intended to shape our character and lead us to a life of discernment. It's not just ancient sayings; it's practical advice for navigating relationships, finances, integrity, and our walk with God. After reflecting on Proverbs 21:2 and how God weighs our hearts, I couldn't help but dive deeper into the surrounding verses. This chapter is a treasure trove! For instance, Proverbs 21:9 (and again in 21:19!) humorously touches on the challenges of living with a contentious or 'nagging wife.' It's a reminder that wisdom isn't just about grand spiritual concepts, but also about the everyday dynamics of our homes. It makes me chuckle, but also appreciate the practical, sometimes blunt, honesty of Solomon's observations. It really highlights how these ancient texts speak to universal human experiences, even today! Then there's Proverbs 21:20, which speaks about 'precious treasure and oil are in a wise man's dwelling, but a foolish man devours it.' This verse resonates with the idea of stewardship and intentional living. It's not just about accumulating wealth, but about how wisely we manage what we have, both material and spiritual. It reminds me to be mindful of my resources and choices. It makes me think about how even in our daily lives, like when we're trying to achieve a 'healthylifestyle2024,' wisdom guides our decisions about what we consume and how we spend our time. Another powerful verse is Proverbs 21:30: 'There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the Lord.' This really drives home the point from 21:2 about God's ultimate authority and knowledge. No matter how clever or strategic we think we are, if our plans aren't aligned with God's will, they will ultimately fail. It's a comforting thought, knowing that His wisdom always prevails. And for those moments when life feels like a battle, Proverbs 21:31 (NKJV) offers perspective: 'The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance is of the Lord.' It's a powerful message of preparation combined with trust. We do our part, we prepare, we train (just like the mention of 'Training Your Child' from Proverbs 22 reminds us of diligent effort), but ultimately, our victory and salvation come from God. It's a beautiful balance of human responsibility and divine sovereignty. Reflecting on these verses, I feel a stronger conviction about the idea, 'I would rather stand with God and be judged by the world.' It's easy to get caught up in what others think or to try and justify our actions. But Proverbs continually reminds us that God's perspective is the only one that truly matters. Living a life rooted in His wisdom means prioritizing His heart-weighing judgment over any earthly approval. It's a challenging but deeply rewarding path, and these proverbs truly illuminate the way for us to #letsgrowtogether and embrace true #Wisdom.
