Grand Canyon Nujiang and 72nd Street Bend

This is one of the deepest and longest valleys in the world, located in Lizu Autonomous Region, Nujiang, northwest of Yunnan.

Exclusive: The Nujiang River (or Upper Salvin River) traverses a steep valley. There is a highlight point, the "first bend of the Nujiang River," where the river snaps its elbow around the mountain into a U-shape.

Way of life: This area is inhabited by ethnic groups such as the Phra Su people, and the Rat (Nu) people, who retain a cohesive traditional culture.

72 Bend of Nujiang Road

Most tourists come across this route when traveling on the G318 route (Chengdu-Lhasa route), which is during the Ye La Mountain pass.

Physical characteristics: It is a winding road, climbing from a height of more than 4,600 meters, descending into the Nujiang River valley at a height of about 2,700 meters.

The road folds and folds like switchbacks, with continuous elbow curves that look like noodles from a high angle. It's one of the most difficult and challenging stages of the way into Tibet.
