Lately, I've been reflecting on a conversation where I had to stand firm and say, 'I can't accept the bare minimum because I have someone who will go above and beyond for me.' You know, it's easy to get caught up in relationships or situations where you feel like you're constantly giving, and receiving just enough to keep you hanging on. But for me, that just stopped being an option. It wasn't an easy realization, but trusting my gut (and my faith!) really showed me my true self-worth. The 'bare minimum' can look like a lot of things – inconsistent effort, lukewarm affection, or just not feeling truly seen and valued. And when I finally voiced that I deserved more, the question 'He said who?' came back. That moment was so telling! It highlighted the stark difference in perspective. For me, the 'someone' I was referring to wasn't just another person. It was the unwavering support, the boundless love, and the constant guidance I find in my faith, and honestly, the deep self-respect I've cultivated within myself. Recognizing that there's a higher standard, a love that truly goes 'above and beyond,' has transformed how I approach all my relationships, especially with myself. It’s about understanding that you are created for greatness, and anything less than that genuine connection and effort isn't serving your highest good. This journey has been about setting healthy boundaries and truly believing that I am worthy of profound, consistent love and respect. It's allowed me to walk a path of self-discovery, much like the feeling of being guided and protected, as if walking hand-in-hand with a guiding light. So, if you're out there feeling like you're constantly settling, take a moment to reflect. What does 'bare minimum' look like in your life? And more importantly, who is that 'someone' for you that inspires you to demand more? It could be your faith, your inner strength, or even the vision of the amazing life you know you deserve. Don't be afraid to voice your standards. It’s not about being demanding; it’s about honoring your heart and soul. Let's lift each other up and commit to never settling for anything less than what truly nourishes us. ✨ What are your thoughts on setting boundaries and knowing your worth? Share below! 👇
