10 cafes within chinatown!🍂

here's another 10 cafes to visit on your weekends!🌙

the background of this image is at september coffee!☕️ it is a warm minimalistic corner that serves up good tater tots!⚡️

❗️[BONUS]❗️ here's another recommendation that is not included in my list above as it's not a cafe, but more of a bookstore that serves up coffee. 未完成书店 (TBC Bookstore)📔 was discovered while we hopping in between cafes! at that point in time, this place was not listed on google maps so it was definitely an unexpected find!💎 it's a cozy nook with a variety of book to read, with chinese novels being a majority. they've got a few cozy furnitures to maximise your reading experience🛋️ furthermore, all the books are free to read! simply enter the bookstore and find yourselves a seat. the owner also sells drinks so you can feel free to place your orders, though they do not enforce a minimum spend at the bookstore.☕️ moreover, there is a donation box so if you enjoyed your time there, you could most definitely make a small donation📬 i also loved that it's located on the level 2!⛅️ the sunlight spills in from outside, it's got lovely vibes!🩵🖋️

... Read moreIf you're planning a cafe hopping day, I highly recommend exploring not only popular cafes but also hidden gems like TBC Bookstore. This unique spot combines the love of coffee and reading, offering a quiet retreat where you can relax with a good book and a warm drink. The natural sunlight and cozy furniture make it an ideal place to unwind and enjoy some peaceful time. Additionally, the list of cafes I shared includes a variety of atmospheres—from minimalistic corners serving tasty tater tots like September Coffee, to lively spots such as Monochrome and Maxi Coffee Bar. Each cafe offers something unique, whether it’s specialty beverages, snacks, or an inviting ambiance perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. When planning your cafe adventure, try to space out your visits to enjoy each place fully instead of rushing. Take a moment to appreciate the decor, and don’t hesitate to ask the baristas for their recommendations—they often have secret menu items or special brews worth trying. Lastly, don’t miss the chance to donate a little at TBC Bookstore if you feel inspired. It’s a community-supported space that thrives on kindness and shared passion for books and coffee alike. Trust me, this blend of culture and cafe comfort will make your cafe hopping experience richer and more memorable.

Flew out on Friday night, back on Monday morning straight to work. Two full days and honestly one of the most well-rounded weekends we’ve had in a while. good food, coffee, wildlife, nature, and enough slow time to actually feel rested. Kuching really does punch above its weight for a short trip fr
