Melaka 3D2N Travel Budget - S$254

... Read moreFor those keen on budgeting their Melaka travels like I did, here’s some detailed insights that can help you stretch your dollar further. We traveled as a group of three, which helped to distribute costs such as accommodation and some transport rides more cost-effectively. Our biggest expense was the hotel stay at Estadia Hotel Premier Suite with breakfast included for two nights, costing about S$92 per person. Choosing a hotel with breakfast helped shave off meal expenses in the mornings. Food is another essential part of the trip, and we allocated S$60 per person for cafes and restaurants — Melaka has a vibrant food street scene that’s worth exploring without overspending. Transportation was fairly affordable; we took a round-trip coach from Singapore to Malaysia for S$53 and used Grab services for around S$4, which helped us move quickly around Melaka. For activities, we visited The Shore Oceanarium for S$13 and enjoyed strolling through Jonker Walk, which is free and filled with cultural charm. We also budgeted S$20 for souvenir shopping, ensuring we brought little memories home without going overboard. Lastly, travel insurance of S$12 was secured to cover unexpected incidents, which I highly recommend for peace of mind. This trip shows how, with a clear cost breakdown and some group travel advantages, you can enjoy a fulfilling Melaka adventure without stretching your budget too much. Planning ahead, choosing group deals, and selecting eateries wisely made this trip enjoyable and affordable.
