Baby Slade 2025🥹🫶🏻

... Read moreIt still feels surreal to officially share our amazing news – we're expecting Baby Slade in 2025! Announcing it felt like such a huge milestone, especially after seeing those incredible two pink lines on the pregnancy test. For those of you wondering, being around 14 weeks pregnant is a fascinating time. The first trimester rollercoaster of fatigue and nausea often starts to ease up, and I'm finally beginning to feel a bit more like myself again. It's a sweet spot where you might not be showing too much yet, but you definitely feel things shifting inside and out. It's also a time when many expectant parents start to feel a renewed sense of energy, ready to tackle tasks like planning or even just enjoying daily life without constant fatigue. At 14 weeks, our little future family member is growing incredibly fast! They're about the size of a lemon now, and it's wild to think about all the intricate development happening. Major organs are already formed, and tiny bones are hardening. Even though I can't feel those first fluttery movements quite yet, knowing they're actively moving around, kicking, and stretching in there is just magical. My mind often wanders to what they'll be like, imagining their first laugh or how they'll react to the gentle ocean waves when we eventually take them to the beach, just like where we captured our announcement. This stage is also when many people start to feel comfortable sharing their news, just like we did with our 'Baby Slade 2025' announcement captured beautifully in the sand. It’s a wonderful feeling to finally let friends and family in on this incredible secret. Sharing our journey makes it feel even more real and brings so much joy. We're already dreaming about our little one joining us for future adventures, like adding them to our dipnet limit next season – a beloved family tradition we can't wait to share with them. Planning these future moments really helps connect with the baby even before they arrive. It’s also a good time to start thinking about prenatal classes or choosing a pediatrician, if you haven’t already. For anyone else around the 14-week mark, here are a few things I've found helpful. Staying hydrated has been a game-changer for energy levels, and even though the nausea might be better, keeping small, frequent snacks handy is still a good idea to maintain stable blood sugar. Gentle exercise, like walking, can also boost your mood and energy. I've also started looking at baby names and nursery ideas, dreaming about creating a cozy space where our little one will grow. It's so much fun to visualize their arrival and pick out tiny outfits! Don't be afraid to lean on your support system and share how you're feeling; this journey is meant to be experienced with loved ones. I've found talking to other moms incredibly reassuring. Remember to prioritize rest, listen to your body, and cherish these precious moments as your belly starts to show and your baby grows. Every day brings us closer to holding our little miracle, and we're just soaking up every moment of this incredible pregnancy adventure.
