Author: Julia Quinn

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Review:

The Duke and I was a turn of the century heart swooning and sultry spicy romance novel. Innocent and always put in the “Friendzone” Daphne, collided with the mysterious and jaded Duke Hastings in an unforgettable meet-cute. Daphne wanted to dispel any romantic notions with the aloof and creepy lord Berbrooke, who would not take no as an answer. So in a twisted scheme Daphne and Simon decided to “pretend” to court one another, in order to arouse other suitors to notice her and in order to keep persistent mothers from bothering Simon. However this little scheme turned into more than just a scam, as they grew closer towards one another their attraction and eventually their hearts could not let go of his fatherly trauma and Daphne loved Simon so much that she was willing to sacrifice her dream of finally starting a family. In the end, Daphne helped and stayed patient with Simon coaching him through his trauma, she’s the ultimate “Man-fixer” woman. All in all Simon and Daphne got their happy ending, marking their story as a love match for the ages.

🎀Fave Quote🎀: “ In all my life, it’s been only you.”
