Title: It Ends With Us
Author: Colleen Hoover
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Review:
I thought this was a heartbreaking tale, I mean loosing your soulmate and then to fall in love with someone else only for him to end up being like your abusive father. Lilly is literally the sweetest human being alive, I mean she cared for Atlas when no one else did, and she did all of this while watching her mother get constantly abused by her father, I don’t blame her for not wanting to do his eulogy I wouldn’t be able to as well. Honestly Ryle got me in the beginning but guys that are literally that perfect always have some type of fault within him, I understand that he literally killed his brother by accident and slowly watched him bleed out but that is no excuse for his behavior, I blame his parents for not getting him help after that incident. I am proud of Lilly for taking a stand and leaving him, she chose to break the marital legacy of her parents and go after someone who truly has her best interests at heart. Ryle and Lilly may have intense sexual history that is off the charts, but Atlas and Lilly are the soulmates and I can’t wait to see their love finally take flight again.
🎀Fave Quote🎀: “ Sometimes it’s the one who loves you who hurts you the most.”
If you're anything like me, you've probably seen Colleen Hoover's 'It Ends With Us' everywhere, and for good reason! This isn't just another love book; it's a powerful drama novel that has earned its spot as a must-read for anyone who appreciates deep, angsty romance. When people ask me what are the best Colleen Hoover books to dive into, this one is always at the top of my recommended books list, especially if you're looking for an english love book that truly makes you feel. From the moment I picked it up, I knew this wasn't going to be an easy read, but it was an utterly honest and necessary one. The story delves into some really tough topics, like the cycle of domestic abuse and childhood trauma, which resonated deeply with me. Lily's journey is incredibly raw and relatable. She's a character you can't help but root for, even as she faces unimaginable pain and makes choices that are both heartbreaking and brave. The way Hoover navigates these complex themes, especially the idea that 'sometimes it's the one who loves you who hurts you the most,' is what truly makes this a standout novel drama. What makes 'It Ends With Us' a quintessential angsty book? It's the constant tension, the emotional turmoil, and the difficult moral dilemmas the characters face. You're constantly on edge, wondering which path Lily will choose and how she'll find her way out of such a complicated situation. The love story itself is far from simple – it's messy, it's passionate, and it forces you to confront uncomfortable truths about what love really means and where true strength lies. It challenges your perceptions of right and wrong, and that's precisely why it's so impactful. It's not just about falling in love; it's about finding yourself amidst chaos. For those who love romantic novels with substance, this book delivers. While it certainly has its romantic elements, it's the profound character development and exploration of trauma that sets it apart. It’s a story about breaking cycles, finding courage, and ultimately choosing healthy love over comfort or expectation. It truly is one of those books to read that stays with you long after you've turned the last page, sparking conversations and deep introspection. So, if you're searching for your next emotional read and ready to experience a truly unforgettable story, 'It Ends With Us' should absolutely be your next pick. It’s a powerful testament to resilience and the enduring human spirit, and a definite must-read among Colleen Hoover's works.
