Family Sunday
Sundays are my favorite day of the week. A day for family & worship! #churchfamily #sundayworship #sundayvlog #familyday
Sundays truly hold a special place in my heart – they're my absolute favorite day of the week, dedicated entirely to family and worship. If you're looking for inspiration on how to make your Sundays more meaningful and fun, come spend a Sunday with me! It's all about creating those precious moments that define a true 'family affair' and make for a perfect 'Sunday Funday.' Our Sundays often kick off bright and early, usually around 7:30am when my little one, affectionately known as 'Girly is awake.' There’s something so sweet about those quiet morning cuddles before the world fully stirs. We take our time, enjoying a relaxed breakfast, and begin to 'get ready' by 8:45am. There’s no rush, just a gentle pace to ease into the day. By 10am, we 'arrive at church,' which is such a grounding and uplifting way to start our week. It's not just about the service; it’s about connecting with our 'church family' and filling our hearts with gratitude and peace. This communal aspect is a big part of what makes our Sundays a rich 'family affair.' After church, our tradition often involves heading straight to my in-laws for lunch. These gatherings are truly the heart of our 'family affair.' There’s nothing quite like sharing a meal, laughter, and stories with extended family. It’s a time for connection, for the kids to play with their cousins, and for us adults to catch up. These are the moments that build lasting memories and reinforce the bonds that tie us together. It’s more than just a meal; it’s a celebration of togetherness and a fundamental part of our 'Sunday Funday' tradition. As the afternoon winds down, usually by 3pm, we're back home, often finding ourselves 'home in pjs to wrap presents.' This might sound like a chore, but it’s actually one of my favorite cozy Sunday activities! It’s a quiet, creative way to wind down and prepare for upcoming celebrations. It’s also a lovely opportunity to reflect on the day and anticipate the week ahead. This blend of spiritual nourishment, family connection, and relaxed home activities truly encapsulates what a 'Sunday Funday' means to us – a day of joy, peace, and meaningful engagement. So, what does a 'family affair' or 'Sunday Funday' mean for you? For us, it’s about intentional time together, whether it’s through shared worship, warm family lunches, or simple, cozy activities at home. I find that planning a loose itinerary helps, but also leaving room for spontaneity is key. Maybe your 'Sunday Funday' involves a picnic in the park, a creative project, or simply unplugging and enjoying each other’s company. The beauty is in making it your own, creating traditions that resonate with your family, and cherishing every moment. Sundays are a precious gift, and I love making the most of every single one.
