There’s a Sigh in My Soul
There's been a sigh in my soul lately.
Not the kind that comes from being physically tired -- but the deep kind. The kind that comes when your heart is trying to hold on to two truths at the same time.
Like...
I can truly love and respect someone, and still not agree with everything they say or do.
I can give all at my work, pour my heart into it, and still know that my worth isn't tied up in what I produce.
I can believe God is good -- and still feel the sting of unanswered prayers.
Hurt and hope, both sitting at the same table.
And honestly? The tension is uncomfortable. But that's life. It's the in-between, the middle ground where faith has to stretch and grow.

In times of emotional turmoil and spiritual questioning, it’s essential to find grounding sources of support and inspiration. Many people find solace in scriptures, particularly during periods when the weight of unanswered prayers feels overwhelming. Biblical verses often remind us that faith encompasses both joy and sorrow, urging believers to anchor themselves in the presence of God amidst challenges. Engaging in practices such as journaling can also provide clarity as you reflect on your feelings, allowing you to articulate both your hurt and hope. This duality can be seen in stories of faith throughout the Bible, where individuals experience deep despair yet continue to trust in God’s goodness. Participating in a community of faith can further help in navigating struggles, offering friendship and understanding as you wrestle with life's complexities. Consider exploring topics like #biblestudy and #biblejournaling to connect with others who share similar journeys, as these spiritual practices can enrich your understanding and foster resilience. Remember, it’s perfectly okay to embrace the tension; it's a natural part of the human experience that leads to profound growth and understanding.
