1 Year From Today…
The first picture was from one year ago today. My skin has come a long way since then! Before my skin started to break out, I had been on birth control since I was 17, and I didn’t have a clue that the birth control I was taking played a huge part in why I had “glass skin.” I got off birth control in August 2022. I was dependent on it to the point where I started to lack confidence once my skin started to break out. I felt like I was going through puberty all over again ( I wish that on nobody!) It took many trials and errors to figure out my skin type and what products worked for me. One thing I had to stop doing was popping my pimples. I know it sounds gross, but it was a relief for me, and that was one of the reasons I wasn’t making any progress on my skin. I went from getting a pimple every day of the week to one or two once it was time for me to start my period. Even though I am still learning what products work for my skin, I have managed a routine that works for me, and I never skip a beat! My confidence is up 100000000. I plan on showing my night routine & morning routine products very soon🤭

Navigating skin issues can be challenging, especially after long-term birth control use. Many individuals face similar challenges, as hormonal changes can cause breakouts and skin imbalance. A holistic approach is key: understanding your skin type, choosing the right products, and developing a consistent skincare routine can result in lasting improvements. Exploring options like salicylic acid cleansers or retinol can be beneficial for acne-prone skin. Emphasizing non-comedogenic products is essential to prevent future breakouts. Additionally, integrating lifestyle changes such as a balanced diet, ensuring hydration, and managing stress contributes significantly to skin health. Staying updated with the latest skincare trends on platforms like Lemon8 can offer fresh insights into effective routines. Consider joining skincare communities for support and sharing personal experiences. By connecting with others who have faced similar struggles, you can find motivation and encouragement. With patience and the right strategies, anyone can achieve healthier, more radiant skin.
