LENT 2025 🤍✝️⛪️

For Lent 2025 I've decided to give up....

soda & sparkling drinks!

I have ibs & endometriosis- so bloating & digestive health has always been a bit of a struggle, so in my best efforts to better myself, why not cut out something that causes me inflammation!???

If you aren't familiar with Lent, and why Christian's give something up- we mirror Jesus' 40 days of fasting prior to his crucifixion, as a symbolic act of sacrifice! It is also way to prepare oneself for the celebration of Easter through a period of intentional sacrifice.

By doing this act, this brings many Christians closer to God & appreciate him more for the sacrifices he endured FOR US! ... God is so great!

Soda is often high in sugar and caffeine, which can lead to several health issues including weight gain, dehydration, and poor gut health. By replacing sugary drinks with water, considered the 'holy grail' for hydration, we can improve our digestion and overall wellness. Furthermore, engaging in discussions about sacrifices made during Lent can deepen our faith and appreciation for the sacrifices observed in Christianity. It's my first lent so I gave up all sugary foods and drinks especially chocolate because I drink hot chocolate a lot and I'm always eating some type of cookie 😭 In addition, I also gave up tiktok. My first Lent has been pretty hard so far 😓
