First, cut the frozen prata and sausage into three parts each, making it easier to wrap and ensuring even cooking. Wrapping each sausage piece with prata tightly helps keep the juicy sausage sealed inside during frying. Brushing egg yolk on top before air frying gives the pastry a beautiful golden color and an appealing shine. I set my air fryer to 180°C and cooked for about 10 to 15 minutes until the rolls turned crisp and browned perfectly. One thing I noticed is that avoiding overcrowding the air fryer basket allows the hot air to circulate well, resulting in evenly cooked sausage rolls. Also, if you want a slightly fluffier texture, you can let the wrapped rolls sit at room temperature for a few minutes before frying. This method using frozen prata is convenient since you don’t need to make pastry from scratch, and the air fryer makes cooking quick and less greasy than traditional baking. It’s a versatile recipe; you can try different sausage types or add some herbs inside for extra flavor. For party-sized batches, these bite-sized sausage rolls work wonders and are always a crowd-pleaser!
