What’s one breakfast that actually keeps you full?

Mine are high protein bagel bites! Did you know some all purpose flour have a higher protein content than others? 🥯🌽

Farmer Direct Foods flour has 4g of protein per 1/4 cup vs 3g. This bagel recipe has even more protein because of the greek yogurt (about 20g)!

Makes: 8

✎Ingredients:

*1 1/2 cup flour

*1 cup greek yogurt

*2 tsp baking powder

*everything but bagel seasoning

✎Filling:

*8 oz cream cheese

*1/2 cup scallion (diced)

*1/2 cup sweet corn

✎Egg Wash:

*1 egg

*1 tablespoon water or milk

Directions:

1. Mix dry ingredients first (flour and baking powder).

2. Add in greek yogurt and knead until it comes together.

3. Combine cream cheese, scallions, and corn and mix evenly. Fridge until you need it.

4. Roll into a ball with flour.

5. Cut into 8 even pieces and roll or stretch each piece into a circle.

6. Add scallion and corn cream cheese filling in the middle. Fold the dough to cover cream cheese filling and roll into a ball.

7. Brush egg white.

8. Cover with everything but bagel seasonings.

9. Bake at 350F for 15-20 mins.

I also love eating this for breakfast because it’s a good grab and go!😮‍💨

... Read moreStarting your day with a breakfast that truly keeps you full can transform your energy levels and productivity. These high protein bagel bites stand out because they combine the benefits of higher protein flour and Greek yogurt, both key ingredients to sustaining fullness throughout the morning. Farmer Direct Foods flour contains 4 grams of protein per 1/4 cup, which is higher than standard all-purpose flours, making it a nutritious choice for baking. When combined with Greek yogurt, which adds approximately 20 grams of protein to the recipe, these bagel bites pack a powerful punch for muscle repair and satiety. Protein plays a crucial role in balancing your blood sugar and delaying hunger signals, which can help prevent mid-morning snacking on less healthy options. The addition of a cream cheese filling with scallions and sweet corn not only enhances the flavor but also provides healthy fats and fiber, further contributing to feeling satisfied. This recipe's preparation is straightforward — mixing dry ingredients first, kneading in Greek yogurt, and carefully folding the filling inside dough balls ensures every bite is flavorful and wholesome. Brushing with egg wash and covering with “everything but the bagel” seasoning adds a tasty crust that’s visually appealing and aromatic. Moreover, these bagel bites are convenient for busy mornings since they can be prepared ahead and eaten on the go, fitting perfectly into an active lifestyle. You can even customize the filling with your preferred vegetables or herbs to add variety and tailor the nutrition to your needs. Incorporating high protein bagel bites into your breakfast routine can help maintain energy, improve focus, and support overall wellness. Whether you're a student, professional, or fitness enthusiast, these nutritious bites offer a smart alternative to traditional carb-heavy breakfasts that leave you hungry soon after eating. Try baking a batch and see how lasting fullness and delicious flavor start your day right!
