If you’re on the hunt for great food at wallet-friendly prices in Bugis, Fat Bird Chicken Hotpot is definitely worth a visit. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes that made each claypot under $9 a real steal. One of my favorites was the cauliflower claypot — it was bursting with flavor and cooked perfectly. The Hunan pork belly was spicy and tender, a definite highlight for spice lovers. For fish fans, you get two great options: the Sichuan fish fillet offers a nice kick of heat, while the pickled cabbage fish leans toward a more tangy, milder flavor profile. Both are incredibly tasty, and the rich broths make every bite comforting. The chicken claypot was another must-try, juicy and deeply flavorful. What also made the meal stand out was the white peach oolong tea — a refreshing drink that paired perfectly with the savory dishes. Pro tip: if you’re avoiding alcohol, this drink is a perfect choice. Convenience is another plus; the restaurant sits right on Liang Seah Street, a lively area where you can easily grab dessert afterwards from nearby shops. Plus, they offer free WiFi — just ask the staff for the password, so you can relax and perhaps share your amazing food finds online. Visiting Fat Bird Chicken Hotpot gave me great value and satisfaction, making it a spot I’m eager to revisit. It’s an ideal choice if you want to enjoy hearty claypot dishes that won’t break the bank. Definitely give it a try and let your taste buds explore the different claypot flavors!
