Steak:

1 lb flank or sirloin steak

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tsp cumin

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt & pepper

Queso Sauce:

2 tbsp butter

2 garlic cloves, minced

1½ cups whole milk

2 cups shredded cheddar

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack

1 tsp chili powder

½ tsp cumin

Salt & pepper

Rice:

1 cup long-grain white rice

2 cups water or chicken broth

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt

Toppings (optional): Cilantro, jalapeños, avocado, lime wedges

📌 Steps

1. Cook Rice: Toast rice in olive oil & garlic powder. Add water/broth, cover & simmer until fluffy.

2. Grill Steak: Season with cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt & pepper. Sear 4–5 min per side. Rest, then slice.

3. Make Queso: Melt butter, sauté garlic. Add milk, cheeses, chili powder, cumin, salt & pepper. Stir until smooth.

4. Assemble: Plate rice, add steak, drizzle queso. Garnish with toppings.
