Dali resort stay: Shuanglang Yunqi Panshan Villa Seaview resort ✨💯
We booked the distant mountain view suite, and were wowed by the amazing amenities they had to offer. The room is very spacious and very clean, big enough for a family of 3-4 to sleep, walk around, have tea and even meituan your dinner, and enjoy the balcony view. At night, the projector screen rolls down right in front of your bed offering a in-hotel cinematic experience. This could even be good enough to serve as a honeymoon suite.
Whilst a ~7min walk from the nearby Shuanglang Ancient town, they offer golf cart transport down to the Benzhu temple so you could get a didi. Would highly recommend if you want a clean and quiet and large room. But the thing to note is there are stairs to climb as for such resorts in these areas, lifts are uncommon and this is a penthouse ‘suite’ room overlooking the distant Erhai lake and mountain view so you will need to climb a few flights of stairs up.
Also be careful of other hotels in the area claiming to offer “seaside view” of the Erhai lake, as we had initially booked another one but they were dishonest and the room we booked was facing a construction site and with no seaside view as well. The owner had a bad attitude too when we wanted to cancel on the basis of an inaccurate service offering and tried to weasel her way out of refunding us the whole amount for our 2 night stay, making it a very unpleasant experience. However, this hotel’s pictures are what it is depicted on the Trip.com website, with a beautiful lakeside view. Would highly recommend you to book this suite room!
Sharing this as this was a real hidden gem, and I do not want fellow friends experiences to be dampened by what I had went through~

... Read moreDuring my stay at the Shuanglang Yunqi Panshan Villa Seaview resort, I was genuinely impressed by the thoughtful blend of natural beauty and modern comforts offered by the distant mountain view suite. One of the standout features was the in-room projector screen that descends right in front of the bed, creating an intimate cinema experience without leaving the comfort of your room. This feature makes the suite not only ideal for families but also perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or honeymoon suite.
The suite’s spaciousness was a breath of fresh air — enough room for a family of 3-4 to relax, dine, and unwind, complemented by a clean and well-maintained environment. The balcony overlooking Erhai Lake and the mountains provided a tranquil escape, perfect for sipping tea or catching a sunset.
While the resort requires climbing a few flights of stairs to reach this penthouse suite (a common scenario since lifts are rare in such hillside locations), the peacefulness and views make the effort worthwhile. The staff’s provision of golf cart transport down to the Benzhu Temple was a thoughtful addition, making it easier to access nearby cultural sites without a long walk.
An important tip from my experience is to remain cautious when booking lakeside resorts in Shuanglang, as some establishments claim seaside views but may face a construction site instead. Booking through trusted platforms like Trip.com helped me ensure the representation of Yunqi Panshan Villa was accurate and that I got the beautiful lakeside scenery promised.
For travelers seeking a quiet retreat surrounded by natural beauty and thoughtful amenities, Yunqi Panshan Villa’s distant mountain view suite offers a truly memorable Dali resort stay. Whether you’re exploring the nearby ancient town or simply relaxing with family, this boutique resort combines convenience, comfort, and charm in one memorable package.
