randomly chanced upon jeong’s jajang while looking for korean food and i’m glad i did!
we showed up on friday night around 9.30pm at around last order, and there was still a short queue to enter.
what we got:
mandus ($13 for 6 pcs) — way bigger than expected?? the meat filling was juicy and honestly super value for money. would recommend ordering this to share (esp if you’re hungry)
seafood sundubu jjigae (~$18) — flavourful and the seafood taste came through nicely. might even be one of the better sundubu jjigae out there
jjajangmyeon (~$19, my friend’s) — i’m not usually a jjajangmyeon person so i tried a bite. but jjajangmyeon enthusiast said its on par with O.Bba’s
verdict: a crowd favourite for a reason. portions are generous, the food is comforting and flavourful, and the prices are reasonable for the quality you get~
would recommend if you’re looking for a cosy korean meal that doesn’t disappoint!

Located at 75 Killiney Road, this eatery often draws crowds even close to closing time, testament to its popularity and quality. The standout mandus are particularly impressive—not only are they larger than what you'd typically expect, but their juicy meat filling really delivers on flavor and satisfaction. Sharing a plate of these dumplings is perfect for groups or if you’re especially hungry.
Another must-try is the seafood sundubu jjigae. This Korean soft tofu stew features a rich, well-balanced broth where fresh seafood flavors shine through without overpowering the gentle spiciness. For fans of traditional Korean black bean noodles, Jeong’s jjajangmyeon holds its own and compares favorably to well-known spots like O.Bba’s. The noodle dish offers a comforting, hearty experience with a savory sauce that is neither too sweet nor too salty.
