Having seen firsthand the impact that organized voting drives have in local communities, I believe that by addressing the reasons behind voter non-participation—whether through better access to polling stations, more flexible voting options, or enhanced civic education—future elections can more accurately reflect the will of the entire eligible population, including the substantial number of Black voters. The data underscores not just a political opportunity but a responsibility to foster inclusiveness and representation in our democratic process.
