Initially, when people talk about “Molly dolls,” some might think of the classic American Girl Molly or even the character from Big Comfy Couch. But Pop Mart Molly is a whole different universe! These aren't just toys; they're collectible art pieces, often designed by renowned artists. The value isn't just in the material, but in the intricate design, the limited edition runs, and the artistic vision behind each figure. For example, those large Molly figures I saw, some perhaps in unique colorways or special collaborations, represent a blend of art and pop culture that commands a premium price. There are also smaller flocked bear figures and various boxed plush character figures that are equally cute and more budget-friendly. Many collectors start with these blind boxes, slowly building their collection, and perhaps eventually investing in a larger, more sought-after piece.
