You get to see, touch, and even try out new technologies and products firsthand. I always keep an eye out for interactive demos, which are brilliant for understanding how new treatments work in practice. My top tip for maximizing your visit is to do your homework beforehand. The event provides an excellent exhibitor list and a detailed floor plan. I always take time to map out the booths I want to visit, prioritizing companies offering advanced skincare technology or educational sessions that align with my practice goals. For instance, this year, I made sure to stop at the DERMA SWISS booth. Their focus on 'Skin knowledge. UNVEILING SKINCARE TECHNOLOGY' was exactly what I was looking for, and I learned so much about cutting-edge developments. Beyond the exhibits, the educational workshops are invaluable. From advanced facials to new modalities for skin rejuvenation, there are sessions for every interest level. It’s also a prime spot for networking. Don't be shy! Strike up conversations with fellow attendees and exhibitors. I always bring plenty of business cards, as you never know who you might connect with—whether it's a potential mentor, a new supplier, or a colleague facing similar challenges. The energy of so many passionate professionals gathered in one place is truly infectious. To make your day comfortable, wear comfortable shoes – you'll be doing a lot of walking! And with plenty of food and beverage areas available, staying hydrated and energized is easy. Attending ICES Philadelphia is an investment in your career. It’s where you discover what's next, refine your skills, and get a fresh burst of inspiration. I left feeling invigorated and with a notebook full of new ideas and contacts. I'm already looking forward to what ICES Philadelphia 2025 will bring next May!
