He Said No to Our Business

I prayed about this twice already and I asked God if I am making the right choice about going into business with this person let me know before I go all in. God was like listen the flags are in front of you and you decided to ignore it. Which I did, so when the prayer answered it hurt me a bit.

We have been planning to start business for 3 months now, we made social media accounts. We made a brand name. We agreed on a launch date.

Part of me felt that he wasn’t all in because I was doing most of the planning when it came to the meetings and the designs.

My friend mentioned that he just doesn’t feel focused, spiritual and emotionally, but he mentioned he doesn’t want to be tied as well…I guess though it was his idea to begin this together… he feels like I am tying him down in a way. And I don’t need to start something with someone who feels like that. I know it is a lifetime partnership because it is a business…

Honestly, it hurt a bit at first. But I am content now because why would I want to go into business with someone who heart isn’t in our work?

So I have to let it be. I was so excited to go in business with him but I have to go a different route now. Sometimes I just want everyone to win around me. I have to realize maybe we have to win on our own. Everyone isn’t meant to walk the same journey.

Time to start over….

... Read moreStarting a business partnership can be both thrilling and intimidating. Sometimes, despite our best intentions, we find ourselves in partnerships that may not work out as envisioned. It's essential to recognize the signs that indicate a partnership might not be sustainable. For instance, lack of commitment from one party, as experienced in this article, can lead to frustration and unmet expectations. Trust your instincts and pay attention to gut feelings when assessing collaboration dynamics. During the decision-making process, prayer and reflection often provide clarity. This example highlights how personal unease can signal deeper incompatibility in business values and intentions. When one partner feels tied down or unmotivated, it's critical to address these feelings openly. Communication can preserve relationships that are otherwise destined to falter. Moreover, starting anew can be an opportunity for growth and self-discovery. It offers time to reassess personal goals, redefine what success means in one's career, and find the right partners that share the same vision. Remember, it's perfectly alright to prioritize personal and professional alignment over the mere act of starting a business. Not every collaboration will lead to success, and parting ways can lead to greater opportunities in the future.

A blessing in disguise. Sometimes we’re so caught up we can’t see all the things that we’re being protected from. And sometimes a No is a Not yet, Not under these conditions.
