indonesian-style ramen 🍜🥟🍛

📍Ono Ramen at 734 North Bridge Road

This cozy little cafe serves indo-jap fusion dishes!! The owner is really friendly and recommended a few dishes for us to try during our first visit. Since then i’ve been back so often!! 🫶🏽

I looooove their sambal ijo ramen ($12.90), so comforting and hearty but their sambal merah ramen is really good too ($12.90). Their chicken yakitori ($8.90) and steamed gyoza ($6.90) are perfect side dishes!! 🤩

They have rice bowls like karage sambal aioli ($10.80) and even desserts like cremeux and banana cake which i’m thinking of trying next!! 👀

... Read moreOne of the things I really appreciate about Ono Ramen is how they elevate traditional flavors by infusing Indonesian sambal into classic Japanese ramen, offering a unique dining experience that's both comforting and flavorful. The sambal ijo ramen stands out with its vibrant green chili sauce that adds just the right amount of heat without overpowering the broth, making it a comforting choice especially on cooler days. If you enjoy a bit of spice and warmth in your meals, I highly recommend trying both the sambal ijo and sambal merah varieties to compare their distinct flavors—the former being fresher and more herbal, while the latter brings a deeper, smokier heat. Besides the ramen, their chicken yakitori is perfectly grilled with a nice char and juicy texture, which pairs wonderfully with the light and crispy steamed gyoza filled with savory meat. For those looking for a fuller meal, the karage sambal aioli rice bowl provides a satisfying blend of crunch and creaminess, giving a delightful twist on comfort food. On top of meals, their crèmeux and banana cake are tempting dessert options that finish off the dining experience sweetly. The cafe itself has a cozy vibe with friendly staff, making each visit feel welcoming and relaxed. It’s great to see a fusion spot like this gaining attention because it highlights the creativity that can come from blending culinary traditions. If you love exploring new flavors while enjoying familiar comforts, Ono Ramen is definitely worth visiting.
