... Read moreAs someone who has admired Michael Jackson's artistry for years, stumbling upon his autobiography was like discovering a hidden treasure. This book, filled with his personal reflections and stories, provides an intimate look beyond the public persona. Reading his words, you can truly feel the passion and dedication that drove his success. What captivated me most was learning about his early years with the Jackson Five and the intense creative process led by Berry Gordy and Motown Records. The detailed anecdotes about recording sessions highlight how perfectionist tendencies and collaborative freedom shaped timeless hits like "ABC" and "I Want You Back." The book also sheds light on the challenges Michael faced growing up in the spotlight—a blend of joy and hardship that many fans might not have fully appreciated. Through vivid photographs and exclusive illustrations, the autobiography deepens the emotional connection to his journey, making it more than just a celebrity story. For readers who enjoy music biographies or those curious about the inner workings of Motown and the making of a global superstar, this autobiography is a heartfelt narrative worth adding to your collection. Finding it in Kinokuniya made the experience even more special, and I can't wait to dive deeper into Michael's world, straight from his own perspective.

✨this book gave words to feelings i couldn’t explain 📖
a lot of these pages felt uncomfortably familiar. the fear of failing, holding onto the version of someone you wish they could be, betrayal, forgiveness, and learning that moving forward doesn’t always mean you have to forgive. i think that’s what i liked most about this read. it didn’t tell me

Moving into Casual Poet Library felt like more than just shifting books onto a shelf. It felt like stepping into a lesson I encountered last year: ➡️ "You can't expect a village to show up for you if you are unwilling to be a villager." Last December, an email arrived sharing that

October’s Book of the month. It’s called The Heartbreak Hotel. I am trying to finish this book soon. I’m not a big fan of rom-com however this storyline is not so cliche. I’m at page 201 now. I plan to finish it tomorrow. All the best to me!! 🥰😄 #books #reading #booktokcommunity
