I LOVE R&B and it’s part of my routine to always check out the “RNB Only” page on IG on Fridays to check out some new (and) old artists who dropped music that week or day. Even though NOTHING will top ‘90s and early 00’s R&B era 🥺 I will spend all my days trying to find artists and songs that fit that time period esthetic.
April was a GREAT time for new R&B songs that have been out for a minute that I discovered!

⭐️ Based on my knowledge this has been trendy on Tik Tok.. but I didn’t discover it that way. She dropped a song last week and then I think this one came up after I listened to that one. Maybe this one sounded familiar, regardless I really liked it

Vibe: Throwbackish tune, Vibey
⭐️ I haven’t heard of this artist before but am familiar with Tierra. She fell off for me, and she had the potential to be like Doechii with that sorta goofy but legit rap style. It was nice to hear her on the this and I think her feature was a perfect addition to the song!

⭐️IG served me this song and it was perfect! Very motivational and her raspy R&B alto tone was a refreshing sound in the R&B space. Some even compared her to Lauren Hill and I definitely hear that.
💚When I looked on the song she has a feature with LEON THOMAS, so I definitely knew I found a banger!

⭐️ I am not sure how I came across this song… but I LOVE it - This is a CLASSIC beat and she and her production team did a great job chopping it up/ doing it justice 👏🏾

⭐️ I think I found him through Teyana Taylor and a campaign they were in together. The song gave me a good laugh because it just him talking about great he is in the most EXTRAVAGENT & FUNKY way - So cool!!
I mean, he’s handsome to me.. Would you agree? 🤭
