Hidden Gems Edition 💍

I am not engaged yet and the only part of my wedding that has been fully planned out is the MUSIC.

I have been compiling a list for years as popular songs go in and out of style & as I stumble upon by accident (movies, shows, traveling & grocery shopping etc…).

I plan to share my wedding song playlist probably every Wednesday now that wedding szn is in full swing!!

But also as a way to remember all of the songs and to help others as they curate their own playlists!

34/93 songs shared so far!

What songs are on your wedding playlist? ❤️

⭐️ The middle 2 songs I discovered during my 3 months studying abroad in South Korea.

Most of the music I heard was in Korean so I think these two really stood out to me because it was in English lol - it was icing on top that both songs happened to be wedding song playlist material too!

... Read moreCreating a memorable wedding playlist can be both exciting and challenging. Many couples want to include songs that resonate deeply, tell a story, or simply set the perfect mood for their big day. This is why compiling songs over time, as they naturally come across you—whether through films, travel, or everyday moments like grocery shopping—is an excellent way to build a playlist that feels authentic and personal. In this playlist, the author highlights some standout tracks such as Ruben Studdard's "Flying Without Wings" and Kevin Chung's "Finally Came Around." These soulful selections add a romantic and heartfelt vibe ideal for weddings. Interestingly, the author’s experience studying abroad in South Korea introduced two English songs that stood out amidst Korean music, further diversifying the playlist and making it even more unique. If you’re planning your wedding music, consider taking a similar approach. Don’t rush the process—gather songs that evoke emotions or memories for you, whether they’re hits or hidden gems. Platforms like Lemon8 offer a great way to share and discover curated lists, with hashtags such as #weddingdayplaylist and #rnb to explore diverse sounds. Remember, a wedding playlist is more than just background music; it sets the tone from the ceremony to the reception. Mixing well-known favorites with lesser-known tracks can surprise and delight your guests while keeping your playlist fresh and meaningful. Stay tuned for weekly playlist shares, especially during wedding season, to keep the inspiration flowing and help craft the perfect soundtrack for your special day.
