Grey’s Not Your Thing? “The Pitt” Might Be…

And Here’s 5 Reasons Why:

1. Different story lines

I went into this showing think they were trying to be Grey’s Anatomy and I was pleasantly surprised to find that to not be the case.

Because what story lines did grey’s not cover in its over 20 seasons??

I thought they covered them all, but BOY did they miss some REALLY good ones!! 👀

2. Not sex heavy, real relationships on display

Grey’s gets a rap for being overly, and arguably unnecessarily, sexual and you don’t get really any of that with this show. Granted, I think Grey’s dialed it down a ton compared to its earlier days.

There is some past romantic history “The Pitt” touches on.

3. Characters are Easy to Like/ not like

You can easily tell who will be your favorite and/or least favorite characters due to the show being super realistic.

And sometimes it’s hard to tell if I like them or not..

*cough* Dr. Santos *cough*

4. Fast Paced

It is super fast paced, I love how it goes from one character/story to the next rather seamlessly. This is done while still being able to keep the intrigue.

Each scene has a bunch of mini cliffhangers which makes it such a fun and intense watch.

5. Realistic Drama from a Workforce Perspective

I loved this component because Grey’s touches on the bigger and broader powers that be, but in “The Pitt” we see the impacts those same powers have on the people that are impacted the most - the patients and those working on the frontline.

Granted Grey’s does focus on this aspect too, but with “The Pitt” it’s the SOLE focus - allowing the Pitt to get more into the meat of everything outside of just medicine.

I feel like every hour of this show we can see how the practice of medicine gets interrupted by ethics, society & culture and the $$$ business that runs it all!

⭐️ Actual people in the healthcare field tend to RAVE about how acurately this show depicts their day to day!

Idk who else was in their category but they were VERY well deserving of their Emmy!
