Cotton Candy Matcha🍵🎀🌷🫧
recipe:
1 tbs matcha powder (I use jade leaf brand)
vanilla syrup (I make my own: 1 tbs vanilla extract, 1 tbs brown sugar, hot water, stir)
whisk that up
shake it with some ice
pour into cup with ice (I use a shaker so the ice stays in the shaker if that makes sense and then I put new ice into the cup)
pour milk on top (any milk, I like to use creamy oat)
in another cup, I used
heavy whipping cream
cotton candy extract ( you can find this at Michaels)
raspberry coffee syrup (I use Torani brand from tj maxx)
whisk that up!!
~cotton candy cold foam~
pour that on top!
SOOOO GOOD😻
(Measurements are rough estimate because I don’t measure I just know what tastes right!!)

Hey everyone! So, you've seen my Cotton Candy Matcha recipe, and I'm obsessed with how many of you are trying it out! This drink isn't just about the amazing taste; it's also a feast for the eyes with those gorgeous pink and green layers. I've had a few questions about getting those perfect layers and other fun variations, so I wanted to share some extra tips and tricks to make your cotton candy matcha experience even better! First off, let's talk about the layering magic. The key to achieving that striking pink and green separation is all in the pour, and a little help from ice. After you've got your whisked matcha base and milk in the cup with fresh ice, here’s my secret for the cold foam: use a spoon! Hold the spoon upside down, with the tip just touching the surface of the milk (or just above the ice if you're pouring milk second). Slowly pour your fluffy cotton candy cold foam over the back of the spoon. This gentle technique helps disperse the foam evenly without it immediately sinking into the milk, preserving those beautiful distinct layers. Patience is your best friend here! Another pro tip, especially if you want your drink to stay vibrant and not get watered down, is to consider making matcha ice cubes. Seriously, it’s a game-changer! Just whisk a teaspoon or two of your favorite matcha powder with about half a cup of water until smooth. Pour this mixture into an ice cube tray and freeze. When you're ready to make your latte, use these matcha ice cubes instead of regular ones. As they melt, they'll just add more matcha flavor, keeping your drink strong and delicious from the first sip to the last. Plus, they add another cool green element! Now for some fun variations! While I adore the raspberry coffee syrup for that extra pink hue and fruity kick, don't be afraid to experiment. If you want a different twist, you could try a strawberry or even a rose syrup for a more floral pink. For the cold foam itself, beyond cotton candy extract, imagine a vanilla bean cold foam, or even a hint of lavender extract for a truly unique dreamy drink. Just remember to adjust your sweetness levels accordingly. I tend to eyeball my measurements, but if you prefer a sweeter drink, feel free to add a little extra vanilla syrup to your matcha base or even a drizzle of honey. And finally, presentation! This drink is already Instagram-ready, but to elevate it even further, consider a little garnish. A small pink bow tied around the glass, like the one in my photo, or a sprinkle of edible glitter on top of the cold foam can make it feel extra special. Don't forget to take a picture before you dive in! Enjoy experimenting and sipping on your personalized, vibrant Cotton Candy Matcha creations!
