What I seen when I read about the wife with Noble character 🫶📖
I’ve been reading Proverbs 31 this morning, and these verses really stood out to me.
“She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.” (Proverbs 31:31)
As a single woman, a mom, and a Real Estate Agent, this verse hits differently.
Yes, Proverbs 31 paints the picture of a wife who loves and serves her family well. Relationship goals? Absolutely. A husband who trusts his wife completely, and a wife who pours into her home with wisdom and love—what a beautiful picture of marriage.
But I also see something else.
I see a businesswoman.
She isn’t waiting around for someone else to make every financial decision. She considers a field. She does her research. She buys it. Then she turns it into something profitable. She works hard, manages her resources wisely, creates income, and provides for her family.
She wasn’t choosing between being a wife or being successful in business—she was faithfully doing both.
I love that the Bible doesn’t diminish her ambition. It celebrates it.
As a Realtor, I can’t help but smile reading about a woman buying land. As a single mom and provider, I’m reminded that working hard, making wise investments, and building a future for my family are qualities that honor God when they’re done with the right heart.
This chapter isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being faithful. It’s about using the gifts, opportunities, and responsibilities God has given us to serve Him and serve others.
Whether you’re married, single, raising kids, building a business, or all of the above, Proverbs 31 reminds us that strength, wisdom, compassion, and diligence are all beautiful.
