Chia seeds Puddling
I have heard about chia pudding for a long time and I finally decided to give it a try today
I have to say that I really like it and it was really good for my breakfast today - something different from eggs and bacon
To make the chia pudding
I add some chia seeds to my bowl covered it with oatmilk, stir it up and stored it in the fridge overnight. The next morning I add vanilla chobani yogurt mixed then add my fruits with honey on top.
I’m not sure if this is the correct way to make it but I was happy I actually enjoyed it
How do you make chia pudding?
Have you ever tried it? A you give it a try?
After seeing so many people rave about chia pudding, I finally decided to dive in and try making it myself, and boy, am I glad I did! It's such a game-changer for breakfast, especially when you're looking for something quick, healthy, and delicious. My go-to version, just like the one I shared, includes a generous honey drizzle and a medley of fresh blueberries, strawberry slices, and chopped kiwi. It's not just tasty; it's packed with goodness! Let me tell you, there's no one "correct" way to make chia seeds pudding, and that's the beauty of it! The recipe I shared is a fantastic starting point, but once you get the hang of the basic ratio, you can totally customize it to your taste. For me, the oat milk provides a creamy base, but feel free to experiment with almond milk, coconut milk, or even regular dairy milk – each gives a slightly different texture and flavor. When it comes to the chia seeds themselves, remember that they absorb a lot of liquid. A general rule of thumb I follow is about 1/4 cup of chia seeds to 1 cup of liquid. Make sure to stir it really well when you first mix it, and then give it another good stir after about 10-15 minutes to prevent any clumping at the bottom. This ensures you get that lovely, uniform pudding consistency. Letting it sit overnight in the fridge truly works wonders, allowing the seeds to fully expand and become perfectly gelatinous for breakfast. Now, let's talk toppings! While my original recipe features the vibrant combination of blueberries, strawberry, and kiwi, the possibilities are endless. Don't be afraid to add other fresh fruits like raspberries, mango, or banana. I sometimes throw in a sprinkle of granola for an extra crunch, or a handful of nuts and seeds for added protein and healthy fats. A dash of cinnamon or a few drops of vanilla extract mixed into the pudding itself can also elevate the flavor profile. And that honey drizzle? Absolutely essential in my book! It adds a natural sweetness that complements the tartness of the fruits beautifully. If you're not a fan of honey, maple syrup or agave nectar are great alternatives. Some days, I even blend a few dates with a little water to make a natural sweetener syrup. The best part about chia seeds pudding is how versatile it is. You can make a big batch on Sunday night and have grab-and-go breakfasts for the whole week. It’s super satisfying and keeps me full until lunch, which is a huge win on busy mornings. Seriously, if you haven't tried making your own yet, give it a go! You might just find your new favorite healthy breakfast.
