Summer Diary: 75 Hard Day 3
So I’ve made it through the first two days. So far no challenges have arisen where I have thought “Man I’m so tired I don’t want to do this.” I think I’m still riding the high of motivation and I haven’t had to use my discipline yet.
Waking up at 5:30 and getting on the stepper while I read my 10 pages or more (because for a reader that’s not much of a challenge) and drink my first 24 oz of water.
Yesterday my second workout was 45 minutes of vinyasa flow yoga, but I’m going to switch it up depending on my cycle. Maybe play around with cycle syncing and 75 Hard.
Okay, so I'm only on Day 3 of my 75 Hard journey, but I’m already getting a lot of questions about how this challenge actually works and what kind of ‘before and after’ results people see! It's definitely more than just workouts, and I wanted to share a deeper dive into what it really entails and what I’m hoping to achieve. For anyone wondering 'how to do 75 Hard challenge,' it boils down to five non-negotiable rules you have to stick to for 75 consecutive days. If you miss even one, you have to start all over again from Day 1. Believe me, that’s a huge motivator! Here are the core rules: Two 45-Minute Workouts Daily: One of these has to be outdoors, no matter the weather. It really pushes you to get creative and embrace the elements! For me, my morning stepper session counts as one, and my vinyasa yoga yesterday was the second. Drink a Gallon of Water: Sounds simple, but it’s a lot! I'm already getting used to carrying my water bottle everywhere. It's amazing how much better you feel. Follow a Strict Diet: No alcohol, no cheat meals. You pick a diet that works for you and stick to it religiously. This is where a lot of the mental discipline comes in. Read 10 Pages of a Non-Fiction Book: This isn't just for physical transformation; it's about mental toughness too. I’m finding this a great way to start my day. Take a Progress Picture Daily: This is key for tracking those '75 Hard before and after' results! Seeing your body change, even subtly, keeps you motivated. I've already noted my starting point, and seeing my current weight (like the 161 lbs in my photo) is a big part of staying accountable. Many people embark on 75 Hard curious about the '75 Hard challenge results.' While I'm only on Day 3, the stories and transformations I’ve seen are incredible. It’s not just about losing weight or gaining muscle, though those are common 'before and after' outcomes. People talk about significantly improved mental clarity, increased self-discipline, a stronger mindset, and a completely new relationship with food and exercise. Imagine what consistent effort can do over 75 days! Tracking your progress, like taking those daily photos and noting down your weight, is essential to truly appreciate the transformation. It acts as a visual diary of your dedication. My early days have been about building momentum and getting into the routine. I’m focusing on feeling good and establishing those habits. The motivation is high now, but I know the real challenge comes when discipline needs to kick in. I'm excited to see my own transformation and share my journey, hopefully inspiring others to see what they're capable of. This isn't just a fitness challenge; it's a mental fortitude challenge that promises profound personal growth.
