Travel with me to Nashville!!
With my family living in Nash we tend to avoid the tourist areas but this time we decided to spice it up and see if they were worth the hype or just over priced! To our surprise most of the spots we hit were absolutely worth the hype even if they were a little pricey compared to some of the local haunts!
🩷Legendairy : 9/10
Milkshakes were amazing! Very rich and weren’t so sugary it hurt and were perfect for a gram pic but they were on the pricey end for a milkshake
💰Price:$20
🌸Opryland: 7/10
The location was beautiful and there was great views or if you're looking for a great photo spot! Everything in there is quite expensive plus it is out of the way and is a bit of a walk from Ory Mills Mall
🍓Arrington Vineyards: 10/10
This is a favorite spot of ours it's a beautiful vineyard that is perfect for any family get-together we commonly use this for a cool-down day with a picnic and a card game! They allow almost anything besides outside alchol and pets!

Planning a trip to Nashville can feel overwhelming with so many amazing things to do! Beyond the well-known spots I mentioned, I wanted to share some extra tips and personal insights to help you craft an unforgettable itinerary, especially if you're trying to figure out how to best plan your visit. One thing I quickly learned is that while downtown Nashville is wonderfully walkable for exploring the main attractions, you'll likely want to venture out to truly experience all the city has to offer. Ride-shares like Uber or Lyft are super convenient, especially if you're hitting the honky-tonks on Broadway and don't want to worry about parking. For places a bit further out like Opryland or Arrington Vineyards, having a car or budgeting for longer ride-shares is essential. I also noticed a decent bus system, but didn't personally use it much for my explorations. Choosing where to stay really depends on what kind of Nashville experience you're looking for. If you're all about the vibrant nightlife and live music, staying downtown puts you right in the thick of it. For a slightly more relaxed but still incredibly vibrant atmosphere with fantastic food and boutiques, check out neighborhoods like Midtown or 12 South. If you're traveling with family or planning to spend significant time at attractions like the Grand Ole Opry, the Opryland area can be a good base, though it's a bit further from the downtown core. While I loved the unique milkshakes at places like Legendairy and the peacefulness of Arrington Vineyards, Nashville offers so much more. You absolutely have to experience the live music on Broadway – every bar has amazing talent playing all day and night. Don't forget to explore the incredible food scene; Nashville hot chicken and authentic Southern BBQ are non-negotiable! And if you're like me and were charmed by all the authentic gear, definitely carve out time to browse for your own pair of 'cowboy boots' or a classic 'cowboy hat' at one of the many shops. It's such a fun souvenir and a piece of Nashville culture to take home! Nashville can get pricey, especially if you're splurging on every meal and souvenir, but there are ways to save. We found packing a picnic for Arrington Vineyards was a fantastic way to enjoy the scenery without breaking the bank on food. Look for happy hour deals, and remember that many of the smaller music venues on Broadway don't have cover charges, so you can enjoy fantastic live music for just the cost of a drink (or two!). Walking around and soaking in the atmosphere is free, and there are often free events or parks to enjoy. I found that spring (April-May) and fall (September-October) offer the most pleasant weather, perfect for exploring both indoors and outdoors. Summer can be quite hot and humid but is packed with festivals and outdoor concerts, while winter sees fewer crowds but still has plenty to do indoors. Each season has its own charm, so consider what kind of activities you prioritize when figuring out the best time for your visit!
