Simple kitchen upgrade 🥰
Let's normalize simple, inexpensive updates to romanticize our normal kitchens in our #normalhouse.
The kitchen countertops were absolutely beat up from the our houses prior owners. Replacing it is out of the question #inthiseconomy, so I decided to get a nice woodgrain contact paper to just cover them. Putting the contact paper down was pretty simple, I just made sure to clean the countertops really well with windex and make sure they were super smooth. Then I just started section by section laying the paper down using a small squeegee to make sure there were no air bubbles and a very sharp box cutter to get precise edges.
The whole project took a couple hours, and I absolutely love the difference it made. And the best thing is, if it gets messed up I can just replace the section with new paper or redo the countertop all together.
