What should I reply if my ex contacts me suddenly?

... Read moreWhen an ex reaches out, it can stir up a mix of emotions. You might feel surprised, confused, or even tempted to reconnect. It’s essential to consider the reasons behind their message. Are they genuinely concerned for your well-being, or do they want to rekindle old feelings? Reflecting on your past relationship can help clarify your feelings. Maintaining healthy boundaries is crucial. If you wish to move on, it's perfectly acceptable to keep your distance. But if you choose to engage, respond in a way that reflects your feelings and sets boundaries. For instance, politely thank them for reaching out, but also express your need for space. It's normal to feel nostalgic about the relationship, especially if it ended amicably. However, remember that the past doesn't define your present or future. Focus on your personal growth and the relationships that matter to you now. If your ex is bringing up topics like your well-being, evaluate whether their concern feels genuine. In conclusion, stay true to yourself. Whether you choose to reply or not, prioritize your emotional health and set boundaries that protect your peace. Engage only if you feel it contributes positively to your well-being.

I know this sounds rude, but you need to be a little bit nicer. I definitely don’t know what is happening or happened in the past but he’s just trying to be nice and god forbid if you did have something like a mental problem, it’s nice to know that even if you had a big breakup he still would care if you were hurting yourself yk?

The way yall are not seeing this manipulative and narcissistic behavior is crazy i can see right through that “kind” bs. Hes being passive aggressive and antagonizing her, constantly poking her to her limit because he knows he can do so for a reaction. Hes trying to make himself seem like he’s helping her but hes not he knows what hes doing because his intentions are not to help you its to hurt you mentally and giving himself a slight dose of “yea she’ll come when she realizes what shes missing”
