Starting 6th grade is a big step—it's a time of new experiences, changes, and challenges. From my own experience and those of friends, staying organized is key to managing the increased workload. Using a planner or a homework app can help you keep track of assignments so you never fall behind. Socially, it's important to steer clear of drama and avoid gossip. Middle school can sometimes feel like a whirlwind of friendships and feelings, but focusing on kindness and respect to everyone, including boys, builds a positive environment that you enjoy being part of. Also, crushes are normal but balance is important—try to focus on your goals and interests other than just romantic feelings. For girls, packing an emergency bag with essentials like period products, lip gloss, a brush, and extra underwear can be a lifesaver during unexpected moments at school. It's all about being prepared. Makeup in 6th grade should be simple and natural—lip gloss and mascara are great starters if you want to try it. When it comes to teachers, always be respectful and attentive, as it helps not only with your grades but also builds a good relationship. Lastly, remember that everyone's going through changes physically and emotionally, so patience and understanding toward others can make your school year much smoother and more enjoyable.
