Fats don’t make you fat, insulin does
From my experience, understanding the role of insulin in weight management has been a game-changer. Many people, including myself, were misled to believe that fats inherently cause weight gain. However, it's actually the carbohydrate-driven insulin spikes that encourage fat storage and inhibit fat burning. Incorporating healthy fats such as salted butter, heavy whipping cream, pasture-raised eggs, and avocados has helped me feel more satisfied and stable throughout the day. These fats do not provoke the blood sugar spikes that carbohydrates do, thereby keeping insulin levels low and steady. This makes it easier for the body to access stored fat as fuel. I also found that combining these fats with fiber-rich foods and specific protocols like tea blends designed to support insulin control can further reduce cravings and promote efficient fat burning. Over time, these adjustments led to better energy levels and more sustainable weight management without feeling hungry or deprived. Based on what I learned, focusing on lowering insulin through diet—rather than cutting fats completely—can be a much more effective and enjoyable strategy for long-term health and fat loss.
