Xi’an Restaurant truly lives up to its reputation

When I first visted Xi’an Restaurant, I had no idea how famous it was! Only after looking it up did I realize it was founded in 1929 and has enjoyed nearly a century of glory—hosting national leaders like Zhou Enlai and Ye Jianying, welcoming cultural figures like Lao She, and proudly displaying a signboard inscribed by Guo Moruo himself.

➤ Fragrant Pork Ribs🌟🌟🌟🌟

I didn’t expect these “fragrant ribs” to come with a crispy coating—what a pleasant surprise! One bite and you get a crisp exterior, tender juicy meat inside, and a lingering aroma that makes you want to keep eating.

➤ Vinegar-Splashed Qinchuan Beef🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Unexpectedly, this became one of my favorites! It’s a bit like sour beef soup—the broth is slightly thick, the beef melts in your mouth, and the tanginess pairs perfectly with the meat. It’s the kind of dish that lifts your mood with every spoonful.

➤ Shaanxi Braised Beef🌟🌟

To be honest, I couldn’t tell what made “Shaanxi” braised beef special—it tasted like the regular kind to me. Still, the texture was solid and satisfying, making it a great protein boost.

➤ Shaanxi Biangbiang Noodles🌟🌟🌟

Here, a bowl of biangbiang noodles costs just 8 RMB—perfect for fitness folks! The portion is small, with just a few extra-wide noodles filling the bowl, making it ideal for a tasting experience without overindulging.

➤ Zhashui Black Fungus with Green Bamboo Shoots🌟🌟🌟

Zhashui is a county in Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province, and its black fungus is a locally protected specialty. Stir-fried with green bamboo shoots, the dish is light, crisp, and the perfect counterbalance to heavier meat dishes.

For visitors, it’s definitely a must-try—after all, how could you miss a century-old culinary institution? Hope you can save this post and visit Xi’an Restaurant one day by yourself!
