The café is called Phê, which in Vietnamese loosely means “get high/feel good.” A friend recommended it to me as a must-visit spot, and wow—it opens at 9 AM, but when I arrived just a few minutes past 9 on Saturday, there was already a line outside! ☕️I ordered the Phê Sữa (traditional Vietnamese black coffee with milk). Honestly, I never expected Vietnamese black coffee to be this sweet! The menu didn’t mention it would be served iced, but it came as a cold coffee anyway. I had chosen black coffee thinking it would be the “healthier” option, but the sweetness totally caught me off guard. Still, the flavor was pretty good—it really lives up to its reputation as one of Seattle’s most hyped cafés.
🍵My friend ordered the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte, and apparently their matcha drinks are the real highlight—worth a try if you don’t have any dietary restrictions.
The interior is simple yet cozy, with a nice vibe for sitting down and chatting. Seating is limited though, so during peak hours you’ll likely have to wait.
