... Read moreAs an avid traveler and stamp enthusiast, I found collecting stamps across Taipei City to be one of the most engaging ways to capture memories from each visit. Each train station in Taipei offers unique stamps, typically located near the station master’s booth or alongside the gantry, creating a fun scavenger hunt as you navigate the city’s extensive metro system. One of the standout locations for stamp collection is Yeh Liu Geopark. The Visitor Center near the park entrance houses six distinct stamps, perfectly highlighting the geological wonders of the area like the Queen's Head and Candle Rock. This is not only a beautiful spot for photos but also a meaningful place to get nature-themed stamps. Shifen Waterfall, with its spectacular views, hides stamps at the Information counter on Level 2 of the viewpoint—ideal for nature lovers wanting to commemorate their trip. While at Shifen Station itself, look for stamps placed on the ledge near the ticket master’s booth, a great chance to experience Taiwan’s railway heritage. The Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall is a rich cultural site filled with stamps: a large one by the Permanent Exhibition Audio Guide counter, small black stamps near the gift shops, and colorful ones inside the 'Flowers of Freedom' exhibition. Each stamp offers a slice of Taiwan’s history and culture, making your collection deeply meaningful. Taipei 101 also features various stamps: red ones at the Taipei 101/World Trade Center station, green and blue stamps on the 89th floor, and limited layered stamps which change over time, adding a collectible challenge for enthusiasts. Don't miss the Red House at Ximending, where stamps can be found at the Information counter inside, and the bustling Taipei Main Station, with different stamps at the normal metro station and Airport Express platform. Finally, Taoyuan Airport hosts stamps too, including a train stamp near the Airport Express gantry and a stamp rally at airline counters, perfect for travelers before departure. Overall, collecting these stamps is more than just a hobby—it’s a heartfelt way to connect with Taipei’s diverse attractions and culture. If you enjoy documenting your travels creatively through journaling or scrapbooking, these stamps offer an authentic memento that digital photos sometimes can’t replicate.
