A Seafood lovers dream
such a fun place to dine in + get my seafood fix in 🦞
My friend was craving a lobster roll and I was craving sushi and we def found the perfect place to satisfy us both. 🦀🐟🍣
@lobsterplacenyc truly is such a unique seafood experience- its a large space with different counters for fresh seafood, steamed lobsters, sushi bar and oysters! It’s super casual and fun, which made it a great spot to stop by in between shopping + strolling through chelsea market💫
Their sister restaurant @cullandpistol is right next door and it is a Michelin acclaimed oyster bar. It is a nicer sitdown full service restaurant. It has a very nice ambiance perfect for a relaxed date night. Highly recommend their oyster happy hour!🥂
Both spots are amazing for a good seafood experience in the heart of @chelseamarketny ! 🐟

If you're anything like me, the hunt for the perfect oyster is a never-ending quest, especially in a vibrant city like NYC! And let me tell you, Chelsea Market has quickly become my go-to destination, not just for its incredible atmosphere, but specifically for some of the freshest, most delicious oysters I've found. If you've been searching for 'oysters Chelsea Market' or 'Chelsea Market oysters' and haven't quite found your perfect spot yet, you absolutely need to read on. My absolute favorite discovery has been Cull & Pistol. You know how some places just feel special? This is one of them. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s a Michelin-acclaimed oyster bar, and you can absolutely taste the difference. The quality is just next level, with each oyster shucked perfectly and tasting like the ocean. What really sealed the deal for me is their incredible oyster happy hour. Seriously, if you're ever in Chelsea Market, you have to check it out. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a selection of their premium oysters without breaking the bank. I always look forward to seeing what varieties they have – sometimes it's briny East Coast beauties, other times it's creamy West Coast delights. The staff are always so knowledgeable and can tell you exactly where each one came from, which makes the experience even better. The ambiance at Cull & Pistol is also spot on for a relaxed evening. It's sophisticated but still welcoming, making it ideal for a chill date night or just a nice catch-up with friends. You can sit at the bar and watch the shuckers work their magic, or grab a cozy table. It’s a wonderful escape from the bustling market outside. What's even better is that it's right next door to its bustling sister restaurant, The Lobster Place, which offers a completely different, more casual vibe. So, if you're craving something else after your oyster feast, or if you're with someone who prefers a classic, perfectly steamed lobster, you can easily hop over. I often find myself admiring the fresh seafood displays there, even after I've had my fill of oysters. It's a true seafood paradise where you can literally 'ENTER' and 'VIEW' an incredible array of choices, from giant crabs to fresh fish and, of course, more lobster! This combination of high-end oyster bar and bustling fresh market makes Chelsea Market such a unique seafood hub. Whether you're looking for a gourmet oyster experience or just want to grab a quick, fresh lobster roll and some spicy sushi, you're covered. My personal tip? Try to hit Cull & Pistol's happy hour a little early to snag a good spot, especially if you're going on a weekend. It can get busy, but it's absolutely worth it. And after you've indulged in some amazing oysters, take a stroll through the rest of Chelsea Market. There’s so much to see and taste, from artisanal bakeries to international food stalls. It truly offers a comprehensive seafood journey, from the casual market experience to a refined dining one, all within steps of each other. So, if you're on the hunt for the best oysters in Chelsea Market, or just a fantastic seafood experience in NYC, you really can't go wrong with these spots. They've definitely earned their place as my top recommendation!
