Traveling with Singapore Airlines in business class offers an exceptional balance of comfort and service, especially on their A350-900 aircraft like the SQ 826 red-eye flight I recently took. One of the highlights was definitely the SilverKris Lounge. Although it was quite spacious and had a large selection of food, the lounge can get busy during peak hours, which I noticed firsthand. However, finding my favorite udon noodles made the wait worthwhile, proving lounge dining can be a pleasant start to your journey. When it comes to onboard comfort, the fully reclinable flat-bed seats truly elevate the experience beyond typical business class offerings. The modern design of the cabin creates a relaxing ambiance, perfect for overnight flights. While this specific short-duration flight did not include the more luxurious amenity kits, the basics were well covered without compromising comfort. An added treat was the Book-The-Cook menu option, allowing me to savor dishes like Suzuki Teriyaki and Beef Cheek in red wine jus, though I must admit the fish dish stood out the most. I highly recommend opting for the fish if business class is your once-in-a-while indulgence. The in-flight entertainment system, featuring a wide movie selection from Hollywood hits to family favorites, also contributed to a pleasant journey. From a practical standpoint, redeeming 43,000 KrisFlyer miles plus a modest cash component and minor credit card conversion fees made the experience feel like a great value. For travelers considering maximizing their KrisFlyer miles, this flight offers an excellent opportunity to experience the Singapore Airlines brand at its best without breaking the bank. In summary, if you’re planning a red-eye flight with Singapore Airlines, business class on the SQ 826 offers a solid combination of comfort, food quality, and lounge perks. These elements together make the miles redemption worthwhile and the journey memorable. If you take anything away from my experience, it’s to definitely explore the Book-The-Cook options and savor every bite in one of the world's most comfortable business cabins.
