Dropping out of school can feel like stepping into a vast unknown, and I’ve been there. In 2024, I started with accountancy, thinking it was a solid choice for a stable future. But honestly, I just couldn’t see myself there. It wasn’t about giving up; it was about realizing that sometimes the path we think we should follow isn’t the one meant for us. Fast forward to my attempt at starting my own business with UGC (User Generated Content) and Social Media Marketing (SMM). While I managed to land some deals, I wasn’t truly passionate about it and felt like I was just going through the motions. This pushed me into what I now look back on as a hikikomori phase in 2025 — barely leaving the house and feeling overwhelmed by comparison, as friends graduated while I felt stuck. What helped me through was embracing the idea that ‘‘good things take time.’’ Progress isn’t always linear or glamorous. Towards the end of 2025, finding two part-time jobs was a huge encouragement, showing me it’s never too late to try again, even if the future is still uncertain. I also created an account to motivate myself and others to get out, try new things, and share our stories. Life isn’t about having it all figured out — it’s about the journey and the growth that comes with it. If you’re feeling lost or unsure, remember you’re not alone, and sometimes confidence comes from simply taking the next step, no matter how small. So if you're on a similar path or struggling with life decisions, I invite you to follow my journey and let’s figure it out together. Being honest about doubts and fears can be powerful, and support from others can make the difference as we each try to find our own way.
