From my own experience, when someone yells at me, I tend to shut down completely — it's like my mind goes blank because the emotional flood is overwhelming. Avoiding arguments isn't about weakness; it's about protecting your mental space. I’ve found that expressing my feelings through music is incredibly therapeutic. Whether it's listening to calming melodies or writing songs, music helps me process what’s inside. Loving deeply means I also invest a lot emotionally, which leads me to give too many chances even when it’s unhealthy. Setting boundaries is something I’ve had to learn the hard way. I realized that putting others’ feelings before my own continuously drains me, and sometimes, taking care of my own emotional health is necessary to sustain relationships. Overthinking can be exhausting — replaying scenarios, worrying about "what ifs," and analyzing every word spoken or action taken. But I’ve started using journaling to quiet my mind, allowing me to release those thoughts instead of letting them trap me. It’s important for sensitive people like us to recognize we’re not alone. Connecting with others who understand can be healing. Also, quiet moments watching sunsets or embracing nature provide a gentle reminder to breathe and just be. If you relate to these feelings, know that sensitivity is a strength, not a flaw. Embracing who you are fully can lead to deeper self-awareness and more fulfilling relationships.
