Aphrodite Custom Candle by me

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to share a bit more about my journey creating a custom Aphrodite candle. When I first started exploring devotion to Aphrodite, I knew I wanted something special and tangible to connect with her energy. Candles are such a powerful tool in my practice, and crafting one specifically for her felt like the perfect way to honor the goddess of love, beauty, and pleasure. One of the first things I researched was what scents Aphrodite likes and scents associated with Aphrodite. It's amazing how many beautiful fragrances resonate with her! I often turn to classic floral notes like rose and jasmine, which symbolize love and beauty. Rose, in particular, is an absolute favorite for Aphrodite. I also love incorporating earthy, sensuous scents like sandalwood and myrrh. For a touch of sweetness and allure, ylang-ylang or even a hint of vanilla can be lovely. Some practitioners also suggest apple blossom or even a touch of sea salt to evoke her oceanic origins. When I chose the scents for my Aphrodite candle, I blended a delicate rose with a touch of myrtle, which is another plant sacred to her, for a truly intoxicating and devotional aroma. Then came the fun part: deciding on the aphrodite candle color. While there's no single 'right' answer, certain colors strongly resonate with her energy. Pink is fantastic for self-love, gentle affection, and beauty. Red can be used for passionate love, desire, and strength. Green is often associated with growth, fertility, and even prosperity, which can also tie into Aphrodite's dominion over pleasure and abundance. Sometimes, I even use white for purity and universal love, or gold for luxury and divine connection. For my custom candle, I opted for a soft, shimmering pink, as it felt most aligned with the gentle, loving energy I wanted to invoke. Many of you might be wondering, how to talk to Aphrodite with a candle? It's really about setting an intention and creating a sacred space. Once your candle is ready – whether it's one you made or one you’ve chosen – light it with a clear purpose. As the flame flickers, focus your thoughts on Aphrodite. You can speak to her aloud, offer a prayer, or simply hold her image in your mind. I often tell her my hopes, express gratitude, or ask for guidance in matters of love, beauty, and self-acceptance. The candle acts as a beacon, drawing her energy and presence into your space. It's a beautiful way to open a dialogue. Beyond just the candle, creating an Aphrodite altar can truly enhance your connection. While my main article touched on the candle itself, think about other items that symbolize her. Shells from the ocean, images of doves or swans, fresh flowers (especially roses!), apples, mirrors, and even items that make you feel beautiful are perfect additions. For my latest Aphrodite altar setup, I included a small mirror, a few rose quartz crystals, and a fresh rose from my garden, alongside my custom candle. These elements create a powerful focal point for your devotion and make your offerings even more meaningful. Ultimately, what candles does Aphrodite like? She appreciates sincerity and beauty.
