Laundry Folding Day!
In 2026, I’m trying to be better about actually PUTTING my laundry away. So far I’m doing pretty good, we’ll see how the rest of the year goes 🤣
I've personally found that setting a specific day as ‘Laundry Folding Day’ really helps keep the process manageable and less overwhelming. Instead of letting laundry pile up, dedicating time each week helps me stay organized and reduces clutter around the house. One trick that works well is sorting clothes as you take them off, making folding much faster. Putting everything from socks to heavier items like towels into designated piles streamlines the folding workflow. I also make it a goal to put clothes away immediately after folding, preventing a second stack of laundry from building up. Another helpful tip is to create a comfortable, pleasant space for folding, such as setting up a folding station near the laundry area. Listening to music or a favorite podcast can make the task feel less like a chore. In my experience, staying consistent with this routine has led to a sense of accomplishment and a much neater living space. It’s motivating to see the difference when you actually put your laundry away instead of just folding it and leaving it out. If you’re like me and sometimes forget, using reminders on your phone or calendar can keep this habit on track. Laundry folding day doesn’t have to be stressful; with these simple habits, it becomes a quick and satisfying part of weekly self-care and home organization.
