... Read moreOkay, so the Nintendo Direct on 9.12.2025 totally blew me away this morning! There were so many exciting announcements, and I just had to share more about the games that really grabbed my attention. It’s not often we get such a packed Direct, and my wishlist just exploded!
First up, and probably the one I'm most hyped for, is Yoshi The Mysterious Book, set to launch in Spring 2026. As a huge Yoshi fan, I've been eagerly awaiting a new adventure starring our adorable green dinosaur. The idea of a "mysterious book" sounds incredibly charming and imaginative. I'm picturing innovative level designs where the book's pages come to life, perhaps changing the environment or introducing unique puzzles. Yoshi games always have that perfect blend of platforming, challenge, and cuteness, and I'm really hoping this one leans into some creative mechanics, maybe even incorporating some co-op elements like previous titles. The vibrant art style glimpsed in the trailer already looks fantastic, and I can't wait to see what secrets this mysterious book holds! This is definitely going to be a must-buy for me.
Another huge highlight for me was the announcement of Mario Galaxy Combo, arriving on October 2, 2025. You guys know how much I adore Rosalina, and getting both Galaxy games in one package for the Switch is a dream come true! These games are absolute masterpieces of platforming, with their innovative gravity mechanics and breathtaking cosmic levels. Replaying these classics on the go, with updated graphics and potentially some quality-of-life improvements, is incredibly appealing. I can already imagine myself collecting those Power Stars and soaring through space.
And then there's Little Nightmares III. Oh my goodness, I've been waiting for this one for what feels like forever! The atmosphere, the suspense, the unique puzzle-platforming elements – the Little Nightmares series just nails it every time. I'm so ready to dive back into that unsettling world and see what new horrors and mysteries await. The trailer gave just enough to get my heart racing without giving too much away, which is exactly how I like it.
For something a bit more chill, Suika Game Planet caught my eye. I've really enjoyed the original Suika Game for its relaxing yet addictive puzzle gameplay, and the idea of a 'Planet' version sounds like it could expand on that fun in new ways. It's the perfect game to unwind with after a long day, and I'm always looking for those cozy, brain-teasing titles.
Power Wash Simulator 2, coming Fall 2025, also made me smile. I know it sounds niche, but there’s something incredibly satisfying about meticulously cleaning everything with a high-pressure washer. My only hope is that it will be compatible with a Switch mouse, as that would make the precision cleaning so much more enjoyable. It's surprisingly therapeutic!
Finally, LEGO Voyagers, releasing September 15, 2025, sounded so intriguing. The concept of playing as a single LEGO block and exploring a vast, block-built world has so much potential. I'm curious about the gameplay mechanics – will it be a puzzle game, an adventure, or something entirely new? The possibilities are endless with LEGO, and this one definitely piqued my curiosity.
Overall, this Nintendo Direct 9.12.2025 has truly set the stage for an exciting couple of years for Nintendo Switch owners. My wallet is already crying, but my gamer heart is absolutely soaring with anticipation!
