I’ll be judging the Friday Cosplay Showcase, on Saturday I’ll be teaching a class about Fabric in A315/316 & Sunday I’ll be participating in a cosplay Q&A feedback panel in room A406!

I’m planning on wearing a modified version of my Poison Ivy (peep the shoes in the last pic 😂 def not con friendly) and a new cosplay from @Marvel Rivals (unless it doesn’t come together and in that case just ignore I said anything 😂 ) I’m also making some cute dresses with this adorable Pokémon fabric I found on @Etsy that I’m gonna wear for when I’m properly werk werking.

Attending MomoCon for the first time was absolutely thrilling and a whirlwind of creativity. As someone deeply involved in cosplay and costume design, I found the event an incredible platform to connect with like-minded individuals and enthusiasts. Judging the Friday Cosplay Showcase gave me a fascinating insight into the diversity and skill level present in the cosplay community — seeing so many interpretations and craftsmanship was truly inspiring. Teaching a class about fabric use was another highlight. Sharing tips and techniques in room A315/316 allowed me to help others enhance their costume-making skills, and I loved exchanging ideas about sourcing unique fabrics, like the adorable Pokémon print I found on Etsy. It was rewarding to discuss the nuances of fabric selection, handling, and sewing challenges in a practical setting. The cosplay Q&A feedback panel on Sunday was a great opportunity to engage directly with attendees, offering advice on costume construction, character embodiment, and overcoming common challenges faced by cosplayers. Panels like these foster an amazing sense of community, providing both beginners and veterans a chance to learn and grow. I also spent time at the BERNINA World of Sewing booth and classrooms, soaking up new sewing technologies and trends that can elevate costume design. It’s always motivating to see what innovations are available to make crafting easier and more precise. On the cosplay front, wearing a modified Poison Ivy outfit felt special, despite the impractical shoes for convention floors! Planning to debut a Marvel Rivals cosplay kept me on my toes with last-minute adjustments and creativity flowing. The mix of classic characters and unique fabric choices really captures my passion for blending fandom and personal style. For anyone attending MomoCon, my advice would be to embrace the energy, get involved in the workshops and panels, and don’t be afraid to express your unique creativity. The event can be intense but incredibly rewarding. Whether you’re a cosplayer, seamstress, or fan, MomoCon offers a vibrant space to share and grow. I’m already looking forward to next year’s adventures—and can’t wait to see what everyone else brings to the con floor!
