Interviewing for a PA school is SCARY!!!
My favorite tip which I feel like allows me to connect with the interviewers is to always ask personal questions if you have time
When the interviewers introduce themselves, I always make mental note of something about them.
For example, one was an actual professor who is also a PA. When she asked if I had any questions, I told her how I’m interested in one day teaching and brought up my past of student teaching as well as my love for continued learning. I asked her what led her to do start teaching and how feasible it is.
I immediately connected with her and she kept saying how happy she was that I talked about teaching since it showed my value for learning and helping others in different ways, which a lot of people don’t express their want for teaching in a classroom!
So, I will always recommend to find a detail about the interviewer that you can connect on and help them remember you!
